Kamloops Symphony presents Sounds in Sand

Kamloops Symphony presents three digital concerts this Spring. Ticket holders will have online access to each concert as part of a 3-Pack Mini Subscription. Also, all 3-Pack holders will get an invitation to an exclusive live Q+A session with Music Director Dina Gilbert.
Sounds in Sand is one of the spring series. Russian sand artists Marina & Eva Sosnina will showcase a real-time artwork in sync with the music. This mother-daughter duo will “paint” along to a “modestly modern” arrangement of Mussorgsky’s classic Pictures at an Exhibition for chamber orchestra and create a brand-new work along to Iman Habibi’s Radiant Light.
This concert will be delivered on-demand streaming, ticket holders will have access to watch the performance until April 11th.

The Kamloops Symphony presents a main series of 10 full orchestra programs (17 performances) in Kamloops and Salmon Arm, a chamber music series of 5 programs, and a series of educational programs. As the major music organization in the Kamloops region, the KSO has been an active participant in community events such as performances at opening ceremonies and other celebrations.
The KSO has produced and presented several fully staged productions, beginning with the first staged ballet production of The Nutcracker in 1994, and several musical theatre productions: The Pirates of Penzance in 1998, The Sound of Music in 2001, Oliver! in 2003, and Anne of Green Gables in 2006.
